About the options:
The Basic Kit contains pattern directions and fabric to make our 9" x 36" row for the 2024 Row by Row Experience themed "Sew a Season."
The whole range of seasons are represented in our 2024 row. There's a butterfly and flower representing spring, a slice of watermelon and sunflower representing summer, a black cat (of course) and pumpkin for fall, and a snowman and tree for winter.
Every block in the row is traditionally pieced and some of the pieces are small, but we've tried our best to make it possible for anybody willing to try the pattern to be successful. That said, if you are a beginning quilter, be prepared for an adventure!
Our 2024 row looks great as it is, but would be even more spectacular with a range of embellishments. You could embroider details like watermelon seeds, eyes, nose, and mouth on the cat and snowman, and decorate the tree.

- Basic Kit includes enough fabric to make the row, but is conservative regarding the amounts of fabric included - there is not much waste or room for error on the background fabric especially. The Basic Kit includes a fat quarter of background fabric. With that in mind, we're also offering options with more generous amounts of background fabric for those who don't like to gamble...
- Basic Kit + extra FQ background gives you double the background fabric in case you want to play it safe.
- Basic Kit + 1/4 yd background gives you enough of the background for binding the row as a stand alone piece or even with a small border added or a little room for error in cutting.
- FQ background ONLY is the option to order a fat quarter of the background fabric without the kit.
